I took a diamond from a cave And I cut it on a boy There's a voice inside me But I didn't listen Lord Bloody diamonds and black gold Think I dug too deep Bloody diamonds and black gold Now I'm green with greed Paint some oil on my grave And I'll toss and turn for ya Mother nature's whipping me Into sublime euphoria

Bitter Sunshine Standing around, singing in the rain When I fell in love Sweeter Dream So I’m headed for the fields then Maybe someday “Been in love…” sweet song the record played Can I sing along? Well, then I lost the beat For sure to love alone In the hole that I’m in Hello bitter sunshine I am up for the day You’re sweeter than the sunshine I am offering Embedded in a rock And pleading for the rush of rain Will I be your boat? Well in the rock I dream For sure to love alone In the hole that I’m in Back seat lover Hit the road Joe l’amour Cause I’m in the room Hell, on my way home I’ll look into the rain There’s a boy butting in Hello bitter sunshine I am up for the day You’re sweeter than the sunshine I am offering someday Sweet your hair You turn your eyes above you Sweets, try and tie me over Before I’m found Be forty and never rest to change Lord do you know? Will I see her? For my heart’s sewn all shut Call me a lover in the rain Lord do you know? Will I feel her? For my heart’s all sewn shut

1901 02:36
1901 Out in the corn field I heard a wild cry It was a dark sound That ain’t no wildlife I saw a rustling I started hustling Into the school house Hundred years old now There ain’t no reason Don’t try to hide God damn them demons I’m running through lives Turn out the lights child We’ve got a visitor He’s got those dark eyes He ain’t no farmer And then a fire train Ripped out of the earth It stopped on my step “Crawl on aboard sir”
4.
Oil 03:05
Oil Hello Georgie pooh You are drilling through My homeland to get your fat oil Your friends all greased you up Packed your bags with bucks You’ve been working On the wrong toil baby With some love All your secrets dissipate With no love To your soul You’ll dislocate Sinister Minister Cretin linear You’ve been primed By the wrong tribe You puppet in the dust Nailed down by the rust You’ve been riding out A silent bribe baby Storm the wretched Start a revolution Steer the wreckage From the politician Roll the canon up Light it on the hill Run the bastards out Let him know How it feels Like the Roman Empire fell
5.
Rope Bridge 03:50
Rope Bridge My mind’s a rope bridge The kind that’s forgotten The one with the cracked boards Through there I’ve fallen Remember when We were right on I don’t mind the frayed ropes I kind of like the feeling Just like my high hopes Our love is fading Remember when We were right on Holding on as it untied I don’t let on You don’t let up We don’t let go Enough I dangled on my last words I didn’t own the meaning Though they rose up through My whole being Remember when We were right on Walking on this rope bridge I’ll be hanged Storm wind blew our minds As I held out my hand Remember when We were right on Holding on As it untied

Electrico 03:20
Electrico I hardly knew love As I watched from high above Them old Montreal streets I turned away My heart was made of coal ‘Til that diamond showed Violet ray in the room That saved my heart from ruin Uh ha! ‘Twas a fateful day When I met you babe My cousin swears it still She saw electric rain Then we got a little bottle of rum Captain Morgan From then on electrico And I’ve got to let you know I love you so Roxy mama You’re the queen of the show Get your bags baby We’re going to go Down to a lake No one else but you We’ll travel on the water by night In our canoe Climb back into bed with you On a rainy day Your eyes are sunk in green Hell, my hair’s turned grey And we got a little hole in the road Marital electrico ‘Cause we got a little hole in the road I god damn won’t let you go We’re in a rut We’re fighting almost everyday Laughing on the way We’re acting so tough Lighting off our fiery heads Laughing on the bed Hell, I wouldn’t change a moment Of this rivalry ‘Cause forever You and me

about

Go placidly amid the noise and haste and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly and listen to others, even the dull and ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain and bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your career; however humble, it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of times. Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many strive for high ideals and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection neither be cynical about love, for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years; gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune but do not distress yourself with imaginings. Many fears are born out of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less then the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive him to be and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace with your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy.
